Currently we specialize in expedited Firearms transfer services which comply with all BATFE, local and State of California DOJ Bureau of Firearms Division laws. We service the Law Enforcement community by extending discounts to LEO and LE Agencies. We accept:, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Metroshot Gift cards, checks, cash and Postal Money Orders. We specialize in custom firearms sales at your location for attorneys, celebrities, professionals, and busy people *. Special order weapons and accessories can be purchased by placing a deposit. We also handle: movie production studio purchases, legal storage, estate & interfamilial firearms sales. Current California regulations prohibit transfer, sales, loans, pawns of: Assault weapons, high capacity magazines, and Federally mandated destructive devices (NFA).

Private Party Transfers |
A Private Party Transfer (PPT) is any firearms transaction between two California private parties and must be conducted with both parties coming to our store location at the same time - sometimes called face to face (FTF). The fees for each PPT are $25 for DROS and a state mandated $10 fee for METROSHOT Firearms ($35 total). PPTs are NOT transactions between METROSHOT Firearms or any other FFL dealer or private individual whether in or out of state. Please don't confuse a "private seller" from inside or outside California to a "private buyer/seller" in California - unless both CA parties agree to meet at a gun dealer's location with California IDs in hand, it is not a PPT. See our "out of area transfer" services below for those purchases.

Internet / Auctions/ Out of State/ Out of Area Transfers / non FTF - PPT |
If you see a firearm on the Internet, an auction website, seller's webpage, or private individual, you cannot import that firearm into the state unless that firearm goes through a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). With few exceptions, all firearms transactions in the State of California must be processed through a FFL dealer. METROSHOT Firearms will accept firearms from individuals or dealers that you have already paid for from auction, estate sales, or private seller. This is especially helpful if you find a gun in the classified ads or on an online auction. MetroShot will charge $60 to $70 to process this transaction in addition to the $25 DROS fees. You will also have to pay California sales tax on the price of the firearm**. Contact us with the address, phone number, and fax number of the seller and we will send them our FFL so they can send us your firearm. We do honor C&R transfers of handguns with our without the 10 day exemption. 10 day exemptions require: C&R Type 03 FFL plus State of CA COE. Contact us if you have any questions.

* State law allows DROS transactions for the 10 day wait to start anywhere in CA, but the firearm must be picked up after 10 days and before 30 days at the licensed premises (Federal & State law) located in the city of San Fernando.
** Use tax of 8.25% applies to any Californian purchasing out of state to be paid either thru Metroshot (resale agent) or thru your State 540 tax returns under "unpaid sales / use tax".
